Development

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and improving Qemu and KVM
  • Responsibility for patches and fixes of the current generation of Qemu and KVM
    • Preparations for transition into the new generation and supervision of the changeover
  • Analysis of the system and identification of bottlenecks
  • Involvement in the development of central middleware components
  • Long term: integration of new features into KVM
  • Continuous improvement of our services and internal service management processes
 

Your qualifications:
  • Very good experience in C programming; experience in virtualisation and ability to write readable and easy maintainable source code
  • Confident in using Linux system tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the use of hypervisors (ideally KVM) in a larger project and excellent knowledge of the common tools such as Profiler, Debugger and GCC
  • Understanding of CPUs, RAM and their architecture
  • Interest in new technologies such as InfiniBand and hardware-based programming
  • Good knowledge in the field of network and storage
  • Bonus: Knowledge in Python and/or Bash
  • Fluent in English

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of our public Cloud platform and support for the provisioning of services at all levels
  • Cross-department cooperation for the continuous improvement of our relation models
  • Integration and roll-out of new features and patches
  • Ensuring maximum availability and scalability for our customer´s systems
  • Creation of useful documentation, as well as verification and maintenance of existing documentation
  • Continuous improvement of our services and internal service management processes

Your qualifications:
  • Experience in Linux server administration, preferably Debian
  • Scripting experience: especially Bash and Python
  • Good knowledge in KVM virtualisation
  • Experience with Icinga / Observium / InfluxDB
  • DNS/DHCP administration
  • Problem analysis of network technology (tcpdump, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Basic knowledge of Ceph
  • Assessment of problems and suggestions for improvements
  • Bonus: ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus

  • Further development of our network (InfiniBand and 10 gigabyte Ethernet) and its targeted integration

Your qualifications: 
  • Confident user of Linux system tools and knowledge of the administration of Linux servers as we as script languages (Python, Perl)
  • Experience with Juniper Networks switches, routers and firewalls of the models EX, QFX, MX and SRX are a plus
  • Experience in all fields of the lower 4 OSI layers (WDM, BGP/OSPF/MPLS)
  • Network debugging under Linux with the tools used for this purpose (tcpdump, nmap, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and unfamiliar technological fields
  • High service awareness and strong customer orientation
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage
